Until you've been there, it's hard to
imagine... Once you've been there, it's hard
to forget.

Glen Arbor, just steps from one of Lake Michigan's most
gorgeous beaches.

The village of Glen Arbor is a really
great little town, nestled between Lake Michigan's Sleeping
Bear Bay and the Glen Lakes.
It's a charming northern village with a resort
feel.. Glen Arbor is packed
with great galleries, fun gift shops,
and restaurants galore but is not
pretentious. Visitors travel
from all over the country to enjoy the scenic beaches of
Lake Michigan, hike up the Sleeping Bear Dunes, or visit
the Maritime Museum - and they stay at ur Glen Arbor cottage. This rental cottage, Glen
Arbor Cottage, is located about 30 miles north of the
Arcadia rental cottages (a fish link is above for them.) It has
three bedrooms plus another room which can be closed off
for a fourth bedroom. It has two full bathrooms.
For hot summer weather, we have central air
conditioning. It is completely furnished and well-equipped
with almost everything you will need for your stay. You just
bring bed linens (sheets, pillowcases) and towels for
bath and beach. (Pillows and blankets are provided.) Click on
the fish link for more specific rental information.
Glen Arbor the
village is situated, narrowly, between Glen Lake
and Lake Michigan. You can hunt for Petoskey Stones and
splash in the surf of Lake Michigan, or enjoy the warmer,
calmer waters of the beautiful Glen Lakes (Big Glen &
Little Glen ). What makes Glen Arbor unique, and one of
Michigan's premier summer vacation destinations, is its
location, sandwiched between the Sleeping Bear Dunes
National Lakeshore- a federally protected park- and the beautiful
blue waters of Lake Michigan. The Park's hiking
trails take you through beautiful northern Michigan woods
or sand dunes until they terminate at a vista view
overlooking the Manitou Islands afloat in Lake Michigan.
Come check it out.
Walk to Glen Arbor's art galleries, shops,
and restaurants - including the landmark Art's
Tavern. Famous, friendly, and laid back, it's the
place to go to enjoy a good ol' burger and a cold beer.
Another interesting establishment is the Cherry Republic. Our
cabin is just two blocks from this fun store devoted to
everything made from...?You guessed it!
...Cherries! According to the Cherry Republic, everything
good is made better with cherries- like cookies, salsa,
wine, pop, and ice cream (just to name a few). They have
tons of Michigan-made cherry-based products. Local area tip: Need to check your
email? Head over to the Leelanau
Coffee Roasting Co.'s coffee shop in Glen Arbor. It will
take about five minutes to walk there from our
cottage. Get a fresh-brewed cup of coffee, grab a
chair, and turn on your Laptop...the shop is a free Wi-Fi
wireless hotspot!
